# 10 (Week 5)

My latest creation using Image Chef. It was so easy to use. The other sites were blocked by the school network filtering system. I will have to try one of them from home. I have attached my image (the first I created...but more will be attempted).

# 9 (week 4)

I tried to add RSS links for some websites and stumbled a little bit but once I got going with it, I had no problems! I especially liked the Hey Jude Blog I am watching. There were a few other links I added that made this task interesting and a definite learning experience for me. I am looking forward to following the various stories that are posted and keeping informed. This will be a nice way to keep up on the latest news in a variety of topics.

# 8 (Week 4)

Learning about RSS feeds was interesting. I feel like I have just skimmed the surface of all that is possible. I have not given it much thought on how to incorporate it into my school but I know it will be useful for my husband. I am looking forward to sharing this with him because he is an avid news reader and this is exactly what would help him to keep up with his news information.

I am looking forward to viewing some of the libray related newsfeeds I subscribed to as a way to examine the functionality and determine how I can use it with my library and school.

# 7 (Week 3)

I am finally feeling like I am catching up only to realize I have the work to complete for this week. Well, I am having fun learning all the new resources.

My favorite technology is my digital camera. I am always taking pictures and trying to keep them organized. I am excited to be able to use flickr to organize. Maybe now I will be alble to also share my pictures with my familty and friends. I also like my newest few toys being a DVD camcorder which has been useful for family videos. I also enjoy using the GPS system (TomTom) to help us as we travel to new places. I just wish I had more time in the day to explore and learn all the other resources.

Good luck to all of you!

# 6 (Week 3) Fun trading card

I tried making my own trading card. It was easy and fun. I was able to use a picture I had taken when in Maine this summer. My hobbies include hiking and biking which we did plenty of while at Acadia National Park. I am really enjoying learning about these new resources and am looking forward to sharing them with my coworkers to figure out a way to incorporate it in their classes and projects.

#4 (Week 2)

I posted my blog and found it easy. I am struggling keeping up with looking at others right now. My goal is to start looking at others this week in order to get caught up with the tasks we are to complete. I am looking forward to learning with everyone else through these tasks and the next few weeks. Happy learning to all!

#5 (Week 3) Book Sculpture

Book Sculpture

I had some trouble setting up the third party connection with my blog site. Now that I have completed it and tested it, I am finding it easy to use. I am excited to be able to view all these photos. The one I chose is of the Kansas City Public Library sculpture. It is unique and eye catching. Considering I have never been to this library I also found it interesting how they used buildings to display books. I am hoping to be able to upload some of my personal pictures to organize and share with others. Why I never used something like this in the past, I don't know. Now that I have access and created the account, it will be fun to start using.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

# 2 (Week 1)

The 7 1/2 habits of lifelong learners was interesting. I know for me I will go through each step (well, not always the 7.\ 1/2 step of having fun). I will often forget to have fun....this was a great reminder for me.

Looking at the habits it would be hard to decide which I is the easiest and hardest. I think in my current status in life, I am able to set goals with an end in sight as my easiest. My hardest would be to create my own learning toolbox. It is not that I don't have the desire but the problem I have is the lifechange with kids and a husband which take much of my time (outside of work) and does not allow for much free time to pursue classes, reading books, etc.

This class is a step in the right direction for me. I am excited to be a part of it and look forward to all that I will be learning.

week 2 (#3)

I never thought it was this easy to create a blog spot.
